In the exhibition "Flower of Life," which commemorates the 20th anniversary of the museum's opening, we will feature works by 39 artists, including works that have been exhibited at the museum in the past and new works created especially for this exhibition.

The society in which we live today is in a constant state of turmoil, with climate change caused by global warming, pandemics, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident, and worsening international relations. We are now surrounded by uncertainty, and everyone may be in a state of anxiety. By collecting and exhibiting works by contemporary artists, particularly those of Giuliano Vangi, whose works express the complex inner life of people living in modern society, the Garden Museum has been working to provide a place for visitors to encounter a variety of works of art and to pause and reflect on their daily lives.

The works on display in this exhibition focus on works that are born from the personal experiences and daily activities of the artists. The works expressed through the artists' keen insight and sensitivity evoke our imagination and give us new perspectives from which to view the world. And when we look out over the gardens, we see plants and other living creatures going about their unchanging activities moment by moment, oblivious to the turmoil of human society. With just a little change of perspective, we will find that our world is full of surprises and hope.

To encounter artworks, to interact with nature, and to gain a new perspective to face the world. Finding a moment that moves you. We hold this exhibition in the hope that the accumulation of these experiences will give us the strength to live in the present.
