Body – Gesture – Space. Works from Hilti Art Foundation

Ocean II (Between Horizons), 2000/01, oil on jute, 130 x 160 cm © Leiko Ikemura and VG Bild-Kunst Bonn, 2021.

The upcoming exhibition of paintings, sculptures and prints by 22 artists addresses body, gesture and space in two senses: on one hand, representational, as in the depiction of a human figure, the movement of a hand or a natural landscape, for example, in the work of Ferdinand Hodler, Leiko Ikemura and Robert Longo; on the other hand, concrete, for instance, as a pictorial object, as identifiable physical modification of material or as a factual pictorial space, exemplified by Gotthard Graubner, Callum Innes and Lucio Fontana.

Thursday 10am–8pm
Closed on Mondays

Open on Easter Monday, 10am–5pm and Whit Monday, 10am–5pm
