Special Exhibition of the 9th Beijing International Art Biennale, China 2022
The exhibition gathers iconic pieces by the most influential contemporary female artists worldwide. The exhibition takes the contemporary state of female artist as a research subject and focuses on the dynamic relationship between female artwork and culture and society, attempting to explore new theoretical paradigms and exhibition approaches.
With a global vision, the exhibition is exploring the different questions and solutions raised by female artists from different cultural backgrounds. By engaging the artists in a dialogue, we hope to grasp some of the common problems faced by women today and the latest developments of their artworks in a dynamic manner. Moreover, the exhibition highlights the achievements and contributions made by Chinese female artists under the global context.
