Prompted by the loss of the weeping beech grove in 2022—known as a “church, tent, protector, and place of rest”—the foundation turned its attention to the theme of “the tree” and delved into its archives. The result is an exhibition featuring selected works from the collection that explore the tree as a subject and material, ranging from sculpture and installation to painting and graphic art. It is complemented by works on loan from Karl Hartung, Thorsten Brinkmann, Tina Schwichtenberg, Thomas Judisch, Melina Bigale, Volker Tiemann, and Katrin Zimmer.
