It will soon be one year since the spread of the new coronavirus began. During this time, we have been realized of the fragility and importance of human life through the news of the deaths of our close friends and celebrities. However, just as the deceased live on in our hearts, we sometimes think that human life does not disappear, but is reborn in another “life”. In Japan, it is believed that life dwells not only in living things, but also in all things in the universe, such as unmoving stones, soil, clouds, and flowing water.

This exhibition is a tour of the expression of this great "life" that connects people to people and people to nature through the works of ten contemporary artists and their affiliated works. The exhibition will introduce a wide range of expressions, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, and installations that convey the origin and brilliance of life.

In February of last year, the Hekinan City Tatsukichi Fujii Museum of Contemporary Art was closed for renovation and expansion. In the midst of the corona disaster, we are holding this exhibition in the hope of conveying to everyone once again the fun of appreciating art museums. It is our hope that you will be able to feel the sparkle of life from the works of these ten artists just with your eyes and sense.
