Renewal Commemorative Collection Exhibition: Turning and Playing Voices

Thinking, 1985, Shiga Museum of Art, Japan © Leiko Ikemura and VG Bild-Kunst 2021.

A selection of works from the museum's collection and from all genres of around 1,800 objects are presented in a cloister-style museum building. Looking closely at a work of art is akin to listening to its 'voice'. In this exhibition, Yuichiro Tamura (1977- ), Mien Nakao (1980- ) and dot architects are invited to explore the ways in which we can transcend conventional ways of looking at things and fill in various gaps, using the keyword of listening to voices.

Artists: dot architects, Leiko Ikemura, Mien Nakao, Yuichiro Tamura and more.
